Need Lunch on the Go? Check Out These Four Fantastic Sandwich Places Near Brookhaven, MS
Bob’s Sandwich Shop
Bob’s opens from 10AM most days, though they are closed on Sunday and open at 10:30AM on Saturday. You’ll find this place at 208 E Cherokee St here in Brookhaven, and you’ll love everything on offer here. This is a small spot, but the food is out of this world, and it comes with the best in service. This place is no-nonsense, but there’s a reason everyone loves it.
What is a sandwich, exactly? If you count it as anything delicious between bread, then try their hot dogs and burgers (like the great chili cheeseburger. But if your definition of a sandwich excludes these, don’t worry. They make an amazing BLT, ham and cheese, club, Philly cheesesteak, grilled or fried chicken or tilapia, and all kinds of po’ boys.
Broma’s Deli
Over at 1203 Hampton Dr., this delicious spot is open from 10:30AM until 9PM every day of the week. Broma’s Deli has Italian roots, and everything here is classic and fresh at the same time. The service here is fast and friendly, and the food is amazing.
Try the signature sandwiches. We love the ham muffuletta, which comes with smoked ham, genoa salami, provolone, and an olive salad mix on a muffuletta bun. The Ole’ Brook chicken is also amazing. It’s a deliciously marinated grilled chicken that’s topped with swiss cheese, mayo, and honey mustard. If the carnivore cravings run deep, try their Natchez Ave. French Dip.
The Crouton
At the Inez Apartments at 103 S Railway Ave, you’ll find this spot open from 11AM to 2:30PM during the week. On Friday, they open up again for dinner from 4:30PM to 8:30PM, and on Saturday, they’re only open during the dinner hours. This spot is a wonderful place for sandwiches and has friendly, fast service.
Try their shrimp po’ boy, which comes with fried shrimp, mayo, pickle, lettuce, and tomato. You’ll also love the spicy chicken sandwich, and we’re really fond of the crawfish po’ boy as well. They also have some really delicious paninis (try the Cuban), wraps, and more. Get their potato salad to go with your sandwich.
Georgia Blue
If you want something that’s really upscale, try this spot at 107 S Railroad Ave. They open from 11AM until 10PM Tuesday through Saturday. On Sunday, they close at 9PM, and they are closed on Monday. They’ve got a lot of great lunch options, like the amazing shrimp tacos, but the sandwiches here are particularly good.
Try their Philadelphia Pot Roast Po’ Boy. It’s genuinely unique, with pot roast that’s been slow-cooked for 16 hours. The GB Chicken is also great, especially coming as it does with the smoked ham and Havarti.
