Technician working underneath the good of a GMC vehicle.

There’s a wide range of GMC services that your car needs to stay road-ready and safe. Your GMC dealer can perform all of the services and offer advice on how often you need each one. Your owner’s manual should also have information about the different services your car needs to stay in top shape.

4 GMC Services Offered by Your GMC Dealer

1. Oil Change

Your car needs fresh motor oil to remain and perform in peak condition. How often you need an oil change can vary, and your car most likely has an Oil Life Monitor that lets you know when it’s time to head to the dealer. You should also keep in mind that most cars need oil changes every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, so it’s a good idea to stop by and keep on top of your oil changes even if your Oil Life Monitor hasn’t told you there’s a problem with your oil yet.

2. New Tires and Tire Care

You need new tires if you see cracks or bulges in the sidewall or if your tread is very worn down. Regularly inspect your tires for problems, and stop by a few times a year so we can check on them, too. You can get your new tires from us when you need them, and we’ll install them for you.

Get a tire rotation every 3,000 to 5,000 miles if you have a 4×4 vehicle. Get one every 5,000 to 7,500 miles if you drive a 2×4 vehicle. Have your car’s alignment checked at least once a year, and get a wheel alignment if you need one. Get tire balancing as needed, too.

3. Multi-Point Inspection

Problems can crop up even if your car is maintained perfectly. Sometimes these problems don’t make themselves known until they get severe. This is why getting a multi-point inspection regularly is important, as we can check if various parts of your car are working as they should. Doing a regular multi-point inspection helps us catch small issues before they get worse. We offer a tire rotation and a multi-point inspection with every oil change.

4. Brake Service

Get your brakes inspected regularly to make sure they’re fully functioning and aren’t going to fail any time soon. Watch out for signs of brake trouble, too. Signs you need brake service include your brakes making noises when used, your car pulling to one side when you brake, and your brake pedal feeling soft or spongy.
