The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 is the perfect light-duty pickup truck for work, everyday errands, or adventures with friends. We’re sharing five of the main reasons drivers love the new Sierra 1500 available at our dealership!
5 Reasons Drivers Love the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500
1. TurboMax Engine and an 8-Speed Automatic Transmission
There are several engine options for the Sierra 1500, but the standard engine is a TurboMax engine that’s paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This combination supplies 310 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 430 lb.-ft. of torque at 3000 rpm.
Higher Sierra 1500 trims like the Elevation have an available 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine that’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This combination generates an incredible 305 horsepower at 3750 rpm with 495 lb.-ft. of torque at 2750 rpm and boosts your 1500’s towing capacity to 13,200 pound
2. GMC Pro Safety
The GMC Pro Safety package uses assistive driving features to keep you safer behind the wheel of the Sierra 1500. These features include:
- Forward Collision Alert
- Following Distance Indicator
- Front Pedestrian Braking
- Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
- Automatic Emergency Braking
- IntelliBeam
Additional features are included in the GMC Pro Safety package on higher Sierra 1500 trims. Safety Alert Seat is included on the AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking is included on the Denali and Denali Ultimate.
3. CornerStep Rear Bumper
You’ll never lose your footing when climbing into the truck bed again thanks to the Sierra 1500’s CornerStep rear bumper. The CornerStep rear bumper allows you to insert your foot into one of the hollow spaces located on either corner. Push against the textured foot pads, and you’ll gain more traction when climbing upwards to the cargo box.
4. GMC Infotainment System
Inside the 2025 Sierra 1500, there’s a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Bluetooth audio streaming, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Use Bluetooth audio streaming to stream music from Apple Music or Spotify, and use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to sync your phone to the truck for a more personalized experience.
5. GMC MultiPro Tailgate
The GMC MultiPro tailgate is an available exterior feature that enhances the way you haul and unload cargo in your truck bed. The MultiPro tailgate can be reconfigured into six different positions to accommodate various types of cargo or turn into a set of steps for climbing into the truck bed.
